Sean was recently signed up by John Askew's Discover label, an imprint widely recognised as having its finger firmly on the pulse of all things good in cutting edge trance. His March 2006 debut was a remix of Aled Mann 'Cold Fusion' that was hammered by DJ's such as Eddie Halliwell and ATB and signed onto the Trance Republic 2 CD. He then won the Spinnin' Records remix competition for the prestigious remix of Sander van Doorn's 'Punk'd', and his first solo release for Discover titled 'Lift' had been one of the trance anthems of 2006, awarded Single Of The Week on Armin van Buuren's A State Of Trance show and gained heavy playlist support from Paul van Dyk, Tiësto, Judge Jules, and a host of A-list names, as well as featuring on the Cream Ibiza CD mixed by Eddie Halliwell. Needless to say that demand for Sean Tyas's DJ sets has soared on the back of his production success, with current / forthcoming dates in Germany, Italy, Sweden, Turkey, Norway, Poland and Switzerland, the prestigious Gallery at Turnmills, Goodgreef, Passion, Inside Out, Gatecrasher, Slide / Garlands in the UK, plus a November tour of USA and Canada including super-clubs Spundae, 1015 and the massive Dooms Night festival. As the big tunes roll out, so the dates roll in… ![]() And speaking of big tunes, Sean has been busy putting the finishing touches to a host of new singles and remixes for big labels that have had DJs clamouring for upfront copies. Following up his summer smashes Sean Tyas 'Mirella' on Afterglow, Insigma 'Open Our Eyes' (Sean Tyas remix) on ATCR, Beam 'On Your Mind' (Sean Tyas remix) on Beam Traxx, Sean has followed these up with a remix of Mike Foyle 'Shipwrecked' for Armin's Armada label, forthcoming remixes for Discover, Afterglow and Enhanced, as well as his storming cover version of Legend B ‘Lost In Love’. After a prolific 2006, Sean Tyas is already knocking on the door of the A-list trance elite, having been voted the Highest New Entry in the TranceAddict poll and a New Entry in the Top 200 of the prestigious DJ Magazine poll across all genres - both results with absolutely NO press or promotion! Expect the Sean Tyas star to rise further as we start 2007 with the eagerly anticipated follow-up single to 'Lift' on Discover and DJ dates from Australia to Asia and London to Los Angeles.
