For trance fans the world over, Gavyn Mytchel's weekly Ministry Of Sound 'Gallery Sessions' radio show has become essential listening material every week between 20:00-22:00 GMT every Friday evening, broadcast on the digital network to an audience of millions around the globe. To listen to Gavyn's show go to Sky Digital channel 0198 or listen online at: www.ministryofsound.com/radio/ The Gallery at Turnmills in London continues to pull in the biggest crowds and the biggest names in trance week after week, and Gavyn Mytchel's involvement as resident DJ certainly plays its part in this unparalleled success story in UK clubland. Equally at home warming up the crowd perfectly for the big names (he's Armin van Buuren's requested support DJ), and just as capable of switching tunes to devastate dancefloors with driving peak-time and euphoric closing sets after the likes of Paul van Dyk, Tiësto and Ferry Corsten, Gavyn Mytchel is a versatile DJ for all occasions. Such is the success of Friday nights at Turnmills, The Gallery has taken to the road to host regular events at the Honey Club in Brighton, as well as the legendary Nation in Liverpool, with Gavyn a resident at all these events. A Gallery album with Tall Paul and Gavyn Mytchel is also in the pipeline.
Gavyn has been busier than ever in the studio of late after breaking onto the production scene big time two years ago with his hits 'Insurrection' release on Captivating Sounds under his Mnemonic pseudonym and 'The Vortex EP' and 'Vocoder' hits under his own name. Summer 2006 saw Gavyn hitting back with a string of massive releases. Hot on the heels of his critically acclaimed remix of 'Utopia' on Mondo came Gavyn's much hyped 'Coincidence' collaboration with Italian star Albert Vorne on Mazeman, already awarded 5/5 in DJ Magazine. This was followed up a few weeks later by Gavyn's 'Resurrection' release on JOOF and the awesome 'Eye Typer' and 'Neural Network' EP on NOYS. Naturally Gavyn's unrivalled versatility and superb track record of rocking the dancefloor whatever the occasion has fuelled demand for his DJ services outside of the Gallery. Recent UK guest appearances of note include the Love Leeds Festival, Godskitchen, Passion, Inside Out and The Coach, plus the official SouthWestFour Festival afterparty at London's Brixton Academy in August alongside Armin van Buuren, while overseas dates have taken him to Ibiza, Italy, Egypt with Sasha and United Arab Emirates in recent months, plus a North America tour planned for the months ahead.
