ever thought bout maybe each month running a comp and winner get's to mix the TTA Monthly CD, make cd with covers available each month in the download section, might give sum people the chance to make a cd with pro covers etc........

Doesn't seem like a bad idea mate actually, I know Carl's looking at a few other ventures as well as the site so it might be a viable one

Its a great idea mate, but legally, its something we wouldn't be able to do.

The site is heavilly involved with two other licenses at the moment, so i'd rather not upset the licensing people (MCPS-PRS) so that we lose the current licenses completely. Some producers don't take too kindly to having their tunes available for download either - both in mixes and as individual tracks, and as a lot of DJ's and producers contribute mixes, competitions and other info to the site already, I wouldn't want to upset those either.

HOWEVER..... there is something on the way in a few months time that you'll all be able to contribute to on a rotation basis every week. I'm just putting some plans into place, emailing the relevant people, and then finalising everything.

Once its all sorted out, i'll announce it to everyone. Until then, my lips are sealed......

A TTA syndicated radio show

The mods (Myself, Benjoss, Phil-M and DJ Street), will rotate the hosting of a pre-recorded radio show each week (ie, Ben week 1, Dj Street Week 2, Phil-M Week 3, etc) - that will make up the first hour of each show.

The second hour of the show will be where members come in. Each month, we'll ask two forum volunteers to supply a one hour mix to broadcast during the second hour of the show (so, two selected members will have mixes played on the show - one in week 1, and one in week 3 for example).

The other two remaining weeks will feature guest mixes from well-known DJ's, so for example, week 2 and week 4 could have mixes by John O'Callaghan and John '00' Fleming.

I'm just sorting a few things out with some of the major online stations, and then i'll get some snazzy professional jingles, etc made, and then it'll all start.

Its good promotion for the site and good promotion for the members that contribute mixes - so everyone's a winner.

spot on mate!!!!!!!! might have to get sum practise in as bit rusty at the mo!!!! thats if i get a spot 1 day

but think it's a good idea as alot of people will use the site if there is shows playing at the same time.
