Hey what's up everyone I hope everyone is doing well in this community. Anyways my name is Suzanne I'm 23 and I'm from the U.S. Tennessee and I love Trance music and any other electronic music, it literally puts me in a different state of mind thats amazing. So I'm really into the electronic music scene but there isn't that much that goes in here in my town of Knoxville,TN it all kind of died out in the late 90s which makes me sad but I still listen to it anyways. So one of my dreams is to go to Ibiza once I graduate and go to the clubs and dance until the sun comes up! What I'm getting at besides my ramblings haha is after I graduate in December which I hope to I'm keeping my fingers crossed I was thinking of maybe investing in some DJing equipment and I was wondering you do PROS out there could give me some tips as to what to purchase for a first timer, and also do girl DJs ever make it big, I only know of a small few. But I figured anyway besides me listening to it and dancing to it I thought maybe I could try my hand at making it. Well I hope everyone has a lovely day!

It's a shame the Trance scene's died out where you are

Maybe you could set up a night some time!
Ibiza's definitely worth heading out for if you get the chance. It's a great place and I'm sure you'd make up your nights without Trance in Knoxville up pretty quickly! Amnesia's one on the best clubs I've been to and can't wait to head out there again sometime.

As for the DJ equipment, it depens how much you're prepared to spend. CD's are the way to go nowadays, as a lot of releases don't get vinyl releases, plus it's cheaper to buy and download MP3's. Most people will recommend Pioneers CDJ's and they're pretty bomb-proof, just that they're the most expensive CD players on the market (you get what you pay for IMO). Mixer's again, depend on your budget, but you can spent as little or as much as you like!

And of course, female DJ's can make it - although it's becomming harder for any DJ, male or female, to make it without productions. But that doesn't mean that you won't get gigs!
