Yeah, in fairness to the bloke I was quite impressed with his humility in the after-match interview.
Not sure if I go in for the idea that the Fulham players influenced the ref, but I'm agreed that neither him nor the linesman could have seen the handball. Thing is though, with it being Drogba, they probably just guessed he was going to cheat. Which he did. If he'd not have controlled the ball I'm sure he'd have taken a flying leap like he'd been hit by a train instead.
Gallas was a disgrace though. Don't know about the thumbs down business but I saw it as kind of like that Roman thing with the gladiators - ie thumbs down means death. Could be wrong though. I'm sure Peter Kenyon will happen along with aclaimed research stating that the gesture actually means "Thanks for a great decision, have a safe journey home."
