As I found out, its very hard to get an internet radio station going, and tricky to bring in money - and its almost impossible to compete with the big stations (Digitally Imported, Pure, Sense.FM, etc), because they're too big - and even they struggle to make money.
I'm glad I moved away from that side of things to be honest. It was a pain in the arse then, and the laws, etc have got even tighter since. Unless there's about 4 people running it with a sack full of cash, then its pointless now.

Hi Carl,
I hope all is good
TBH i have to disagree. I suspect that they failed at managing the stituation properly and didn't evolve with the times. Unless the station is established, Shoutcast stations are a waste of time. Live video is the way forward now. Eitherway, instead of letting the site go downhill they should have handed over the reigns to someone who knows what they are doing.
They fooked up a great opportunity to capture the good olde djsource community. They were too slow to react, they didn't communicate to the members and clearly they lied because if they were truely up to the claims they made code wouldn't be in the dire position it is. Money or no money, if the passion is there to succeed the money wouldn't have been an object, it's not as if it was a lot of money anyhow.
QED
Anyway tis nice to see this site doing well and that you are carry the flag in the name of Trance
