So you’ve got an idea for a tune. You know what you want to use for the bassline and the rhythm. You’ve got a great sample and you’ve been thinking of an original riff that you want to lay down. In your head it sounds like a total dance floor killer and you just know that if it got dropped in a club the place would go through the roof!

Well stop thinking and start doing! Innovate vs Twisted have only gone and got one lucky so and so a date in the studio with legend Ali Wilson! Yes, hold onto your production pants party people. The man behind monster hits 'Blackout' and 'Party People' is going to take you into his own personal studio and help you create your very own hit. Who knows, if it’s good enough it could get a release on his Tekelec label!

Ali’s musical and production credentials are practically scary considering how young he still is. In 2003 Mixmag named him as a Future Hero and one of the top 5 young DJs to look out for while Hardfester.net designated him Best New Producer in their annual Award. June saw the videos for his tracks Digital Killas and also Rhythm Search added to the Rapture TV playlist and become a complete smash.

The ultimate backing however has to come from the god of all things to do with dance music, Carl Cox. Not only has he named Ali and partner Matt Smallwood as his producers of 2006 but he also signed up not one, not two but five Tekelec tracks for use on his compilation CDs this July. Not bad going huh?
